NEF Welcomes Kimberley Henderson and Heidi Vanderbloemen to Board of Trustees

Naperville, IL – The Naperville Education Foundation (NEF), the non-profit arm of Naperville School District 203, welcomed two new members to its Board of Trustees: Mrs. Kimberley Henderson and Mrs. Heidi Vanderbloemen.

“NEF is delighted to welcome Heidi and Kim as our newest Trustees,” said Kitty Ryan, Chair of the NEF Board of Trustees. “Their unique talents and volunteer spirit will strengthen our ability to make a difference for District 203 students. We are indeed fortunate to have them as part of our team.”

  • Kimberley Henderson

    Kimberley Henderson holds a JD/MBA. She has lived in Naperville for 8 years, and is a Parent Liaison for volunteer organization S.U.C.C.E.S.S. (Schools Using Coordinated Community Efforts to Strengthen Students), which is devoted to inspiring and empowering black and minority students to achieve higher levels of academic performance within the district.

    Henderson is also the Home and School Association President at Jefferson Junior High School. She has been an active parent volunteer in Mill Street Elementary and Naperville North High School’s Home and School Association. Henderson and her husband, Lee, have 2 daughters in Naperville 203 schools.

    “I strongly believe that every child deserves an opportunity to succeed in school,” Henderson said. “NEF provides the resources that some children might not otherwise have access to. I am happy to be a part of such a fulfilling organization.”

  • Heidi Vanderbloemen
    Heidi Vanderbloemen

    Heidi Vanderbloemen is a Vehicle Lead Engineer at Navistar, establishing full truck test plans for new product development projects. She joins the board on behalf of Navistar. She has worked at Navistar since moving to Naperville in 2012, previously in the roles of Quality Program Manager and Senior Design Engineer.

    Vanderbloemen and her husband, Luke, have two children attending District 203 schools. Vanderblomen has led a team of Madison Junior High students in a neighborhood FIRST Lego League Robotics team and has volunteered in Scott Elementary School.

    “I am thrilled to represent Navistar on the NEF board and to help broaden the STEM and business opportunities for the students of D203,” Vanderbloemen said.
