NEF Welcomes Julie Beehler and Jenny Tank to Board of Trustees

Naperville, IL – The Naperville Education Foundation (NEF), the non-profit arm of Naperville School District 203, welcomed two new members to its Board of Trustees: Mrs. Julie Beehler and Mrs. Jenny Tank.

“Both Jenny and Julie bring strong professional experience that will be a significant value to our foundation,” Board Chair Kitty Ryan said.  “Just as importantly, they are both passionate about the NEF mission, especially ensuring that every Naperville 203 student can take advantage of opportunities to make the most of their education.”

Julie Beehler recently retired after more than 35 years working in Naperville 203. Beehler began her district career as an elementary teacher at Ellsworth, ultimately becoming Principal at Naper Elementary before becoming Director of Administrative Services for the district.
Beehler is originally from Naperville and she and her children grew up in District 203. Beehler has been involved in NEF as a principal representative as well as serving on the Annual Grants and Programs Committees.
“I was an administrator when NEF began and I’ve seen NEF’s value from the very beginning,” Beehler said. “Especially as Principal, I’ve seen firsthand the funding that NEF provides has been a way to help kids and families in a different way than the school itself was ever able to do.”

“I’ve always been interested in advocating on behalf of children and went to law school because of this interest,” Tank said. “I have always given my time and effort towards helping kids. I want to give back and help local students pursue their dreams and goals. I’m happy to be a part of an organization that has the ability to make such a positive impact in our community.”
