Naperville, IL – The Naperville Education Foundation (NEF), the non-profit arm of Naperville School District 203, welcomed Mr. Joseph Harriman, Mrs. Kelly Llewellyn and Mr. Amit Thaker to its Board of Trustees. The Board also elected new slate of board officers, effective July 1, 2020. Kitty Ryan was elected board chair, Kimberley Henderson board vice chair, Jenny Tank board secretary and Jordan Johnson as board treasurer.
Board Chair Ryan said, “I know all NEF Trustees join me in welcoming Amit, Joe and Kelly to the Board. They each bring a strong commitment to the NEF mission and unique experiences and talents that will help NEF do even more for the students and families we serve.

Joseph HarrimanJoseph Harriman works at CTC Trading Group LLC as a Director specializing in global financial markets. Harriman has a son in Naperville 203 and a daughter who recently graduated from the district. He holds a Master’s degree in Financial Markets from Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Arizona State University.
“I have witnessed the impact NEF has on the children in Naperville 203,” Harriman said. “I am excited to contribute to the foundation in all possible ways.” -
Kelly LlewellynKelly Llewellyn is a Naperville 203 parent and community volunteer. She has served on Kingsley Elementary School’s Home & School Executive Board since 2014, first as treasurer and then as president. Llewellyn is from Naperville and has two children in Naperville 203. She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Miami University.
“My passion for volunteerism will help promote this influential nonprofit and continue to find new ways to educate our town about NEF and its powerful impact on the Naperville 203 community,” Llewellyn said. -
Amit ThakerAmit Thaker is the Director of Business Development at Linden Oaks and will represent Linden Oaks on the NEF Board. Thaker holds an MPH/MBA in Health Administration from Benedictine University and a BA in Communications from Northern Illinois University. He resides in the area with his wife and two young children.
“I have a passion for paying it forward and helping the next generation of leaders. NEF does both and I look forward to contributing to NEF’s success,” Thaker said.
Board Officers
The board elected a new slate of officers. Kitty Ryan was elected board chair. She is the retired Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Education for Naperville School District 203. Prior to that position, Ryan was an elementary principal and has many years of experience as an elementary teacher, Learning Center director and assistant principal.
Kim Henderson is board vice chair. Henderson holds a JD/MBA. She is a Parent Liaison for volunteer organization S.U.C.C.E.S.S. (Schools Using Coordinated Community Efforts to Strengthen Students), which is devoted to inspiring and empowering black students/children of color in the district to achieve greatness. Henderson is also an active Home & School volunteer.
Jenny Tank, secretary, is owner of Clever Belle, an apparel company selling t-shirts that empower girls and women to wear clothes that outwardly show their interests and dreams. Tank is an attorney and an advocate, currently acting on behalf of children in the foster care system through CASA of DuPage County. She is also a Career Advisor for NAMI DuPage and serves on the Home and School Association for Highlands Elementary School.
Jordan Johnson will continue in his current role as board treasurer. Johnson is a Manger at DHJJ where he works with closely-held businesses and individuals on tax planning, tax preparation, business advisory, investment management, and financial planning. Johnson is a Certified Public Accountant and has his Series 65 Investment Advisor certification.
