Building a Passion For Our Future

On March 23rd, over 325 guests joined us for the return of the Building a Passion Breakfast and a celebration of NEF’s 30th anniversary!

Attendees had the opportunity to explore some NEF moments from the foundation’s rich 30-year history, listen to inspiring stories from Naperville staff and students, and learn about plans for the future, emceed by ABC7's Alan Krashesky.

NEF is partnering with the district in RISE by supporting wrap around services for our families. Plans for students that have complex mental health and behavioral needs must be comprehensive, long-term and address the needs of his or her family in order to make real change possible for the student. RISE is just that!

We’ve had a bumper year of Express Grant applications, funding 30 projects already this school year. It’s no surprise that Naperville 203 staff and students are full of great ideas! With your help, we’re planning to increase Express Grant funding in the next school year to create more opportunities for students.

With your support, next school year, NEF will fund FIRST Robotics before & after school clubs at all of our 14 elementary schools AND expand into our 5 junior high schools. The expanded FIRST robotics program is a $132,00 investment for next school year in addition to on-going yearly cost. This is just the beginning!

In partnership with the district, NEF will be venturing into Alumni Relations later this year. Stay tuned for how you can connect with your former classmates and keep in-touch with all the great things your high schools are doing!

We are looking to YOU - our community - through corporate and individual support- to join us in creating these opportunities that can be life-changing for students.

Thank you to our Building a Passion supporters, donors, and sponsors!
