Diana Torres Hawken
Diana Torres Hawken is a community volunteer and Trustee since 2021. She founded the City of Naperville's first Latino-led and Latino-serving nonprofit organization ALMAS (Alliance of Latinos Motivating Action in the Suburbs). She also serves on the City of Naperville Human Rights and Fair Housing Commission and is Membership Co-Chair of the American Association of University Women (Naperville Chapter). Previously she was on the board of the Naperville Police Foundation, Nuestro Futuro/”Our Future” at the Chicago Community Trust, co-Vice President of Maplebrook Elementary's Home & School and on the Parent Board of Directors at Hobson Cooperative Preschool. Hawken holds a Master’s in Sociology from the University of South Florida and a BA in English and Sociology from Kenyon College. “The work being done by NEF is providing additional opportunities for access, growth and exposure for the entire community,” Hawken said.
